Dersin temel amacı, profesyonel ortamlarda etkili iletişim kurmak için gerekli olan dil ve iletişim becerilerini kazandırmaktır.<br /><br />Ders süresince öğrenciler, aktif öğrenmeyi ve pratik uygulamayı teşvik eden çeşitli etkileşimli etkinliklere katılacaklardır. Bu etkinlikler arasında müşteri hizmetleri senaryoları canlandırma (role-play), iş toplantılarına katılım, profesyonel sunumlar yapma ve grup tartışmalarına katılarak akıcılık ve özgüven geliştirme bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, öğrenciler yazılı iletişim becerilerini resmi e-postalar hazırlama, iş raporları yazma, tanıtım materyalleri oluşturma ve ayrıntılı gezi programları hazırlama gibi görevler aracılığıyla geliştireceklerdir.<br /><br />Ders kapsamında sektörle ilgili kelime dağarcığı, kültürel farkındalık ve çeşitli profesyonel durumlarda uygun dil kullanımı üzerinde durulacaktır. Bunun yanı sıra, eleştirel düşünme, problem çözme ve müzakere becerilerini geliştirmek de dersin önemli hedefleri arasındadır. Dersin sonunda öğrenciler, uluslararası ve çok kültürlü iş ortamlarında hem sözlü hem de yazılı olarak açık ve profesyonel bir şekilde iletişim kurma yetkinliğine sahip olacaklardır.
This course is designed to improve English language proficiency in both speaking and writing skills, with a specific focus on the Tourism and Hospitality industry. It aims to equip students with the language and communication tools necessary to succeed in professional environments where effective interaction is essential.
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of interactive activities that promote active learning and practical application. These activities include role-playing customer service scenarios, participating in business meetings, delivering professional presentations, and engaging in group discussions to build confidence and fluency. Additionally, students will develop their writing skills through tasks such as drafting formal emails, preparing business reports, creating promotional materials, and writing detailed itineraries.
Emphasis will be placed on industry-specific vocabulary, cultural awareness, and appropriate language use in diverse professional situations. The course will also focus on improving critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, all of which are vital for effective communication in tourism and hospitality settings. By the end of the course, students will have gained the competence to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, within international and multicultural work environments.
